CES 2024 is set to make a grand comeback in Las Vegas during the week of January 7. As one of the largest tech events globally, the organizers anticipate a staggering turnout of over 130,000 attendees along with a host of exciting features. With hundreds of speakers, 3,500-plus exhibitors, and a massive 2.4 million square feet of exhibit space, CES 2024 promises to be an event like no other.
Embracing Innovation and Excitement
Gary Shapiro, CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s CES, highlighting the focus on innovation. He stated, “We’re very excited. All the indicators and signs are pointing in a good direction. We focus CES on innovation… The pieces are coming together bigger than they ever have. We have more innovations entries by about 40%. It seems like more excitement. Incredibly strong pre-registration. A lot of numbers are up from last year. We feel great.”
The event is expected to showcase cutting-edge technologies and groundbreaking ideas that will redefine various industries. From AI, IoT/sensors, and vehicle technology to AR/VR/XR, smarthomes, and 5G, CES 2024 will bring together top industry players and startups.
Trends and Topics to Watch
While CES covers a wide range of technological advancements, certain trends and themes will undoubtedly take the spotlight. AI, in particular, will dominate discussions and demonstrations throughout the event. According to Shapiro, AI is “the top of the list in terms of discussion” and a key ingredient in numerous fields, including healthcare and mobility.
Transportation will also have a significant presence at CES 2024, with over 500,000 square feet dedicated to showcasing the latest advancements in vehicle technology. From flying cars and all-electric vehicles to autonomous vehicles and tractors, attendees can expect remarkable innovations in this sector.
Sustainability and accessibility will be major themes as well. CES 2024 aims to highlight technologies that promote a sustainable future while addressing the needs of older individuals and those with disabilities. Additionally, the event will feature discussions on the accessibility of technology for all segments of society.
COVID Safety Measures
Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, CES 2024 is committed to ensuring the safety of all attendees and participants. Stringent health guidelines will be followed, including improved ventilation and fresh air flow at the venues. The Las Vegas Convention Center, Mandalay Bay, and the Venetian Expo have been awarded the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR certification for their adherence to cleaning protocols that minimize the spread of infectious diseases.
Additional measures include minimizing surface touch points, increasing fresh airflow at high-traffic areas, and placing hand sanitization stations throughout the venues. Masks will be available onsite, and attendees are urged to respect those who choose to wear them.
“CES 2024 is not just a tech event; it’s a platform for innovation and collaboration. The show will provide a glimpse into the future of technology and how it will shape our lives in the coming years.” –
