New GPT Builder Tool Empowers Users
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman made several exciting announcements during the company’s inaugural developer conference, DevDay. Among the notable revelations was the introduction of the GPT Builder, a powerful tool that enables users to create their own AI agents.
The GPT Builder, which is currently being rolled out gradually for ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT for Enterprise subscribers, allows individuals to build AI agents on top of OpenAI’s advanced GPT-4 Turbo model. The most remarkable aspect of this tool is that it requires no coding or technical expertise. Users can develop their agents using plain English commands, making the process accessible and convenient for a wide range of users, even those without formal developer training.
With the GPT Builder, anyone can build their own AI applications and agents within minutes. These third-party GPTs can access documents and materials uploaded by the user and perform specified actions, such as searching for calendar conflicts or automatically messaging other meeting attendees. OpenAI plans to make these third-party GPTs available in a dedicated GPT Store and will share revenue generated from their usage with the creators.
