Global venture capital deals experienced a decline in the third quarter of 2023 for the second consecutive quarter, reaching the lowest level since Q2 2020, according to a report from PitchBook and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA). The deal value dropped to $73 billion, which is more than a 65% decrease from the previous record. Asia had the smallest decline in deal counts, falling just 10% from the previous quarter, while Europe and Latin America saw declines of over 30% based on preliminary data.
