Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, recently celebrated the founding of the tech giant at a Denny’s restaurant in San Jose, California. This particular Denny’s restaurant holds special significance as it was where the chip design company first embarked on its journey three decades ago.
Today, Jensen Huang is widely recognized as one of the most influential CEOs in Silicon Valley and the world of technology. Nvidia, under his leadership, has become a leading provider of graphics chips for 3D games and AI processors, which have played a significant role in fueling the AI revolution.
The Beginning of Nvidia’s Journey
In 1996, I had the privilege of writing the first story on Nvidia when the company was presenting its graphics chips as “Windows accelerators.” However, the story began earlier in 1993 with a dream shared by Jensen Huang, Chris Malachowsky, and Curtis Priem.
Despite humble beginnings, Nvidia has experienced tremendous growth over the years. Currently, the company’s market value exceeds $1 trillion, a testament to its success and impact on the tech industry.
